The D7000 DX-format image sensor has been upgraded to 16.2 megapixels, which comes second only to the D3X DSLR's 24 megapixel, from the D90's 12.3 megapixel sensor. The ISO range is at 100-6400 and can be adjusted to a very high sensitivity of 25600, which is the widest of all Nikon DX cameras.
